UTC Aerospace Systems and Lufthansa Technik sign agreement for maintenance, repair and overhaul of Airbus A350 XWB nacelle systems

SINGAPORE, Feb. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SINGAPORE AIRSHOW -- initial licensed service provider for performing nacelle MRO services on the A350 XWB nacelle system to the same level as UTC Aerospace Systems' own global MRO facilities. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Under the agreement, UTC Aerospace Systems' Aerostructures business will provide Lufthansa Technik with proprietary information including repair procedures, access to OEM tooling, technical publications, worldwide performance data and technical data required to perform A350 XWB MRO services. Lufthansa Technik will invest in a wide range of assets to support the repairs including the tooling necessary to carry out the repairs.
