Building Projects Across China Order Nearly 300 Otis Electric units


HANGZHOU, China, July 4, 2016 — Several large building projects have recently selected Otis Electric elevators and escalators totaling nearly 300 units since the brand was introduced to China in January 2016. Otis Electric is a sub-brand of Otis Elevator Company, which is a part of Otis, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Here are brief summaries of the projects:

The Bund, Shanghai: 26 Otis Electric elevators have been installed in Xinhu Cyan International Housing Estate. Built by real estate group Xinhu Zhongbao, the new luxury residential development is located in the inner-ring core area of Shanghai, only 3 kilometers from the Bund.
Chaoyang CBD, Beijing: Aika International Business Center in downtown Beijing will include 107 Otis Electric elevators and escalators. The new center will offer upscale-market shopping, dining and recreation.
Shaoguan City, Guangdong: Otis Electric elevators will be installed in Shaoguan Xinjinhui Building Materials and Home Furnishing Plaza in the new business district in Shaoguan where grade-A office buildings, an entertainment plaza and a five-star hotel will be located.
Longgang District, Shenzhen: Phase two of the Kangli Wulian Valley Mansion and Kangli Information Valley Mansion development projects will feature 52 Otis Electric-branded Gen2® elevators. These new properties will be among the new commercial buildings in Longgang.
Taihu New City, Suzhou: The Suzhou Bay Waterside Street Project in east China will receive 65 Otis Electric elevators. As a landmark of Taihu New City, the project will create the largest waterfront complex in the Suzhou Bay area of Wujiang District. Designed by British architectural firm Benoy, the new complex will be a hub of cultural, commercial and recreational life in the new city.
Urumqi, Xinjiang: Tianhong Xinyue International Housing Estate in Xinjiang will include 31 Otis Electric Gen2 elevators. Centrally located in Shayibak District, Urumqi, the new high-end residential area will be supported by education, medical and commercial infrastructure.
