Vermont Governor Recognizes Employee Health Achievements at UTC Aerospace Systems in Vergennes, Vt.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 25, 2015 – UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) received accolades today for its employee health and wellness achievements at its Sensors and Integrated Systems facility in Vergennes, Vermont. Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin presented Sean P. Sullivan, environmental health and safety manager, Sensors and Integrated Systems, with a Worksite Wellness Award during the Vermont Worksite Wellness Conference and Governor’s Council Awards banquet. The prestigious award recognizes Vermont businesses which provide employees with best in class health and wellness services and programs. This marks the third consecutive year that the facility has received the award.

Bettyann Lemire, general manager, UTC Aerospace Systems, said, “This award underscores one of the many reasons why our Vergennes, Vermont facility has long been recognized as a top place to work in the region. Also present at the event were members from the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Vermont Business Roundtable, Vermont Business for Social Responsibility, the Vermont Employers Health Alliance and the Worksite Wellness Alliance of Vermont.

The facility in Vergennes employs more than 800 people in disciplines including engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain and administrative functions. Major products produced include helicopter health and usage management systems (HUMS) and aircraft fuel measurement and management systems.
