BEIJING, February 5, 2018 — Otis Electric recently renewed its contract to serve Beijing South Railway Station’s 110 elevators and escalators. This year marks the seventh consecutive year of Otis Electric’s onsite maintenance for the station.

The Beijing South Railway Station opened in 2008 replacing a station built in 1897. It is a mega transportation hub integrating high-speed railway, urban rail transit, as well as bus and taxi facilities. As an important land transport interchange for the region, Beijing South Railway Station has a building area of about 320,000 square meters and peak passenger flow of up to 200,000 passengers per day.
As a long-term partner of Beijing South Railway Station, Otis Electric provided 110 elevators and escalators for the station and has provided the associated maintenance service. Offered to major public facilities such as Beijing South Railway Station, Otis infrastructure support service is delivered by a dedicated mechanic team stationed on site around the clock.
