TIANJIN, April 20, 2016 – Otis Elevator (China) Co., Ltd. (“Otis China”) will supply 30 elevators and escalators for Zhejiang Dikai Center, a new 185-meter commercial and residential landmark now under development in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, China. Otis, the world’s largest manufacturer and maintainer of people-moving products, including elevators, escalators and moving walkways, is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
Adjoining the new Hangzhou government buildings, Dikai Center is located at the heart of Qianjiang New City, Hangzhou’s central business district. With a construction area of about 185,000 square meters, the project will include grade A office space, high-end serviced apartments and other facilities.
Zhejiang Dikai Center will deploy 18 Otis Skyrise® elevators, six energy-efficient Otis Gen2® elevators and six Otis Link™ escalators. Designed for high rise buildings, the Otis Skyrise elevator offers a rise of up to 600 meters with single-deck, double-deck and super double-deck configurations. A number of China’s new urban landmarks, including Shenzhen Ping’an Financial Center, Tianjin 117 Goldin Finance Center and Chengdu Yintai Center, have selected the Otis Skyrise elevators.
