More than 50 women with experience in the technical industry gathered in Gdansk, Poland to learn more about future opportunities working for UTC Climate, Controls & Security.

Career paths and stories about the company were discussed at the recruitment session.

Employees from the Gdansk site spoke to the group of prospective employees. Several members of the CCS team: Świętosława Dobrowolska, Katarzyna Bukowska, Katarzyna Hawryłko, Rafał Bączek, and Kamila Grabiec, shared their knowledge and experience.

"Women are simply irreplaceable in project development, including writing case scenarios, test analyses, or resolving complex issues at clients' sites,” Maciej Sobczyk, manager, Gdansk Research & Development Center, CCS.

Ewa Pigna, chief technology officer, Lenel provided advice for women who think about pursuing their careers in industries that traditionally include a greater proportion of men.

CCS managers were available following the group discussion for further conversations and encouraged women to tour the Gdansk site.

Katarzyna Pakosińska, local stand-up comedian and writer, presented the topic of women’s employment in a previously dominated male industry in a very light and humorous way.
