Twenty employees from Nippon Otis, Otis Service and Mercury Ascensore recently joined together for their first jointly-held Green Shoots activity at the Ronald McDonald House in Tokyo.

The Ronald McDonald House, located next to the University of Tokyo Hospital, is a facility where families can stay while their children with injuries or severe illnesses receive treatment. Employee volunteers helped with laundry and cleaned guest rooms. Nippon Otis has conducted many Green Shoots activities previously. This was the first time employees from Otis Service and Mercury Ascensore got involved, too.

“It was only for a day, but it was a wonderful experience getting to work for a good cause alongside other Otis employees,” said Kimiyuki Yoshida, manager Tokyo area, Mercury Ascensore.

Going forward, Nippon Otis and the entire Otis family of companies in Japan will conduct more Green Shoots activities across the country, giving employees new ways to interact with one another to benefit local communities.
