Alicia Dill

U.S. Army

In 2001, two days after she turned 17, Alicia enlisted in the Army National Guard. The military offered exciting opportunities for her, and she yearned to do something that was impactful and challenging. Her first time serving with her unit was three days after the attacks on 9/11. “That year really defined me at 17. It made me the person I am today. I signed up to serve and chose to sacrifice myself for the greater good,” she reflected.

Alicia served as a Public Affairs Specialist in the Iowa Army National Guard for the majority of her service along with completing a number of brave missions internationally. In 2007 she completed her service and began her civilian career.

Alicia joined Collins Aerospace in 2011, and is now a sales operations and support manager supporting a variety of secure network and critical infrastructure products and services. Eight years later, she still works hard to ensure the integrity of the products her team creates and takes pride daily in helping to deliver products that will bring our troops home safely.

“My sister is currently serving and she is actively deployed. That means that she might be using our products on some level, and I'm hoping that she gets there safe. When we do our job correctly, she and our other customers benefit from the safety and quality of the products we create” Alicia stated.

We are grateful for the sacrifices that military personnel, veterans and their families have made and continue to make to protect us and our communities. We thank all of the men and women who have served and wish them a happy and fulfilling Veterans Day!
