Following discussions with the incoming administration regarding their plans to improve the competitiveness of U.S. businesses, UTC Chairman and CEO Greg Hayes hosted U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence yesterday at Carrier’s Indianapolis facility to announce that the company will continue to manufacture gas furnaces at the facility and keep more than 1,000 jobs in Indiana.

“I want to thank our Carrier workers for their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to this facility continuing to deliver industry-leading products to our customers across North America,” Hayes said.

Hayes acknowledged a renewed confidence in the U.S. business environment given the new administration’s plans to implement tax reform and a more thoughtful approach to regulation.
