Acting Chief Financial Officer

Neil Mitchill was appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer of United Technologies Corp. in November 2019. Prior to this he served as Corporate Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations.

Before rejoining the corporate office, Neil served as Pratt & Whitney's Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, leading the company's Finance function with specific responsibility for financial planning, accounting and controls, cost reduction and supporting the execution of Pratt & Whitney's key priorities during a period of unprecedented growth. 

Prior to joining Pratt & Whitney in September 2016, Neil served as United Technologies’ Corporate Vice President, Controller, where he was responsible for global accounting and controls for UTC, establishing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures, and supervising the maintenance of accounts and records. Neil also oversaw Global Financial Services, including the company’s finance shared service centers. 

Neil joined UTC in 2014 from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he spent 17 years and held Client Service as well as Lead Partner roles for UTC Aerospace Systems, Carrier, Sikorsky and UTC Corporate for more than 10 years. In addition to client responsibilities at PwC, Neil led its Hartford Office Products & Services Assurance Practice. 

Neil holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Providence College and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the Executive Board of Directors of Xavier High School in Middletown, Connecticut.
