From San Diego to Shanghai, UTC applies consistently stringent
environmental standards and extends its knowledge to help
others. In 1994 Carrier pioneered the worldwide phase-out
of CFCs, 16 years ahead of international laws for developing
countries. More recently, our commitment to global environmental
responsibility led Carrier and the State Environmental Protection
Administration of China to establish the China Ozone Protection
Awards. This program recognizes individuals and organizations
promoting the use of non-ozone-depleting technologies in that
country. |
