Andrea Doane is the director of corporate giving and community affairs for United Technologies Corporation. She is responsible for corporate responsibility at UTC, including reporting and relationships with external groups such as non-governmental organizations, socially responsible investment firms and rating agencies. Andrea leads UTC's philanthropic activities and volunteerism on a national and international basis.

Andrea joined UTC in 2000 and most recently had responsibility for the Internal and Executive Communications for the corporation. This function was formed in March 2006 and her responsibilities included oversight for executive speeches, employee communications, UTC-wide messaging, the corporate intranet, as well as integrated communication plans for targeted functional areas like ethics, environment, health & safety, ACE, and diversity.

Before joining UTC, Andrea was a research analyst for the Connecticut Business & Industry Association. Prior to returning to her native Connecticut, she was a Ph.D. candidate in French Literature at the University of Chicago. She holds a master’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. She also earned a Diplôme d’Etudes Française from the Université de Rennes, France.

Jill Hutensky joined UTC's Community Affairs Department from the company's Pratt & Whitney business. She has an active role in Hartford arts and civic organizations. Jill evaluates the merits of existing donor relationships and new relationships as they relate to the strategic goals and direction of the corporation.

She was with Pratt & Whitney for nine years in a variety of leadership roles in manufacturing, sales and marketing, and corporate communications.

Jill received a B.A. degree from Northwestern University and a master's degree in public and private management from the Yale University School of Management.

Carrie Hammond joined Community Affairs in February 2008 and is responsible for Corporate Responsibility Communications. She is also responsible for the Sustainable Cities grant program, which includes our corporate programs with arts and environmental organizations including US Green Building Council, World Council for Sustainable Development and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She also works on our national arts program, which this year includes underwriting significant exhibits and green building projects at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Previously at UTC, she spent 3 years as manager of marketing and strategy at UTC Fire & Security and 10 years at Pratt & Whitney Power Systems in Service Operations and Business Development. She holds a BA in Economics and Music from Wellesley College and an MBA from Harvard University.

Jessica Josephine Smith is manager of community affairs at UTC responsible for employee volunteer programs and community partnerships in Connecticut. This includes oversight of UTC's involvement with the Greater Hartford Marathon, the United Way Day of Caring, Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics Connecticut. She also provides support for the corporation’s corporate responsibility reporting. Jessica joined UTC's Community Affairs team in 2007.

Jessica holds an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management and a B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to graduate school Jessica worked for General Mills executing internal sales analysis and trade communications.

Barbara Williamson, with UTC for 26 years, is a senior administrative assistant and coordinator of the Matching Gift and Volunteer Grant programs. Prior to working for UTC, she owned and operated a restaurant and inn in Narragansett, R.I.

She has raised six Fidelco Guide Dog puppies prior to their entering extensive guide dog training.
