Yvonne Zayas of Otis and UTC's Hispanic Leadership Forum spoke with Hartford school children about the importance of college.

UTC supports learning programs at every level, from basic arithmetic to cutting-edge science. Many employees serve as public school tutors and mentors, and volunteer for education programs.

UTC encourages young people to consider careers in math, science and engineering. And, because it understands the importance of a diverse work force, UTC strongly encourages minority and female participation.

UTC is a major source of funding for the Connecticut Science Fair and Connecticut Invention Convention, which keep students engaged in math and science while they learn valuable engineering concepts and technology skills.
