Daniel Słowik knew full well that he was taking on a huge commitment when he enrolled in the Employee Scholar Program. After joining Pratt & Whitney with a degree in marketing and management, he wanted a better understanding of the manufacturing side of the business. That’s when he enrolled in Rzeszow University of Technology to pursue an engineering degree.

“It was a challenging four years,” says Daniel, “not only for me but for my family. I’d work all day, study in the evenings and attend the university over the weekend. But my family and I saw it as an investment in our future. And the ESP made it financially possible.”

Today Daniel is engaged in some of the most advanced engineering programs in the company, helping manage the production of complex assemblies for next-generation engines. The end customers include some of the most respected names in aviation – Airbus, Bombardier and Mitsubishi to name a few. “My team works with many partners across Pratt & Whitney to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and with zero nonconformance,” says Daniel.

The more Daniel has learned about aircraft engines, the more he wants to know. He completed post-graduate studies that focus strictly on aircraft engines. “Pratt & Whitney is a very high-tech business,” says Daniel. “I want to learn as much as I can about every aspect of it.”
