Richard D. McCormick, Retired Chairman, President & CEO US West, Inc.
RICHARD D. MCCORMICK served as Chairman of the Board of U S WEST, Inc.
(telecommunications) from June 1998 until his retirement in May 1999. He was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of U S WEST, Inc. from May 1992 until June 1998. In addition, he is a former Chairman and Honorary Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce, a former Chairman and Chairman Emeritus of the United States Council for International Business, a trustee of the Denver Art Museum, Vice President of the Denver Art Museum Foundation and Director Emeritus of Creighton University. He served as a director of Wells Fargo from 1983 through 2011 (including service on the board of a predecessor bank), and as a director of Nortel Networks Corporation and Nortel Networks Limited from 2005 to 2009. Mr. McCormick is 72 and has been a UTC director since 1999.
